Starting point: The Monument to Sir George-Étienne Cartier

Your journey through Mount Royal begins at the famous Monument to Sir George-Étienne Cartier. This statue, unveiled in 1919, stands out in front of Mount Royal like an emblem of the city. You can even see Montreal's coat of arms at the top of the column alongside the Goddess of Liberty. We discover a good atmosphere every Sunday at the foot of the monument to the rhythm of Tam-Tams, a good place to enjoy your weekend with some music.

Rest stop: Beaver Lake

Aboard the Soonma, you will discover the small dirt roads of Mount Royal. Travel
a long path among the trees in the fresh air of this city mountain. You might even catch a glimpse of the wildlife lurking there: raccoons, red foxes, and marmots.
Which leads us to our rest stop: Beaver Lake. This little haven of peace hidden behind the trees of Mount Royal entertains the youngest and the oldest all year round. Indeed, this magnificent green summer park turns into a giant ice rink in winter in order to take full advantage of the Quebec winter. It is a great place for a picnic or outdoor activities.

End point: The Belvedere Kondiaronk

The rest of the route will take you to the last small path before reaching the Kondiaronk Belvedere. In front of the Chalet du Mont-Royal stands the most beautiful view of our magnificent city. Indeed, it is the most beautiful place to watch the seasons go by or just enjoy a moment of serenity in front of the skyscrapers of Montreal. This observatory allows you to have a unique view depending on the side in front of which you stand. It is a magical place to watch the sunset, which is a very popular time among tourists. However, for an even more exceptional moment for the more adventurous among you, I recommend this route before sunrise to see the first rays of light on this beautiful city.
